Statistical Programmer II - Biostatistics & Clinical Programming - United Kingdom

An expert Statistical Programmer II is needed to prove expert technical expertise for the conduct of clinical trials. Ideal Candidate will have a strong capability to work independently with minimal supervision to support various programming activities related to clinical study Data. Other responsibilities will include the professional supervision of production, QC, listing figures etc. Candidate will need to have a strong ability to map out specifications to support relevant data standards according to the standards expected by the Company. The company actively looking for one such professional has a well established reputation as a CRO throughout the industry where by an opportunity exists for candidates to prove themselves in their own profession and grow professionally.


  • General areas of responsibilities will be in line with the activities related to production, QC of derived dataset, statistical tables sets, listing and figures
  • Candidate will need to have a strong ability and previous experience in importing or exporting programming and functional testing, mapping specifications to support relevant data standards
  • Ensure that all Programming activities coincide with the SOPs of the company, ICH-GCP and international regulatory requirements are performed
  • Co create and assists with the production and Quality Control of derived dataset specifications, programing specifications and other process supporting documents
  • Work independently as a Programmer with minimal support/ training as this is a 'pick up and go' position that requires a person to have the relevant skills and expertise as a Statistical Programmer with Clinical experience
  • Maintain all supporting Data documents in accordance with the relevant Guidelines
  • Create, implement and execute relevant mapping specification in accordance with the expectations of the company, depending on the nature of the request
  • A strong proficiency in SAS and a strong sense to continually develop and improve said skill and knowledge
  • Organise, manage and prioritise the function of a Statistical Programmer


  • A First degree in Programming or related field
  • Relevant experience working in a clinical environment and a minimum of 3-4 years working as a Statistical Programmer within this professional setting
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of the duties and responsibilities of a Statistical Programmer
  • Candidate will need to possess and have a strong ability to organise, delegate and manage priorities and have a good sense to adjust and be flexible to change
  • Work effectively in quality- focused environment

  • Good time management skills
  • A strong ability to evolve and continually improve skills set and knowledge
